Financial Support

Province of PEI Supports

- Special Situation Fund
- Up to $1,000 to Islanders who have experienced urgent income loss as a result of COVID-19 and are not eligible for other federal and provincial funding support.
- Income Support Fund
- A one time lump sum of $750
- Canada Emergency Relief Benefit
- Up to $2000 per month for up to 4 months
- Temporary Rental Assistance Benefit
- $1,000 per household to help cover the cost of rent for a three month period.
Eligible Islanders will receive $500 in the first month and $250 the following two months.
Indigenous Support
These funds could be used for measures including, but not limited to:
- Support for Elders and vulnerable community members,
- Measures to address food insecurity,
- Educational and other support for children,
- Mental health assistance and emergency response services,
- Preparedness measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Hygiene Essentials
$25 million to Nutrition North Canada to increase subsidies so families can afford much-needed personal hygiene products and nutritious food.
