Staff: Julian Ramos

Julian is originally from Colombia (in South America), and he found his way to The Adventure Group when he was a Sport and Recreation Management student at Holland College. Julian joined The Adventure Group in March 2022 as the Program Coordinator of the Summer Camps and the ROPES Course. He is passionate about outdoor adventures and how through these experiences personal growth can exist. He has a background working for the YMCA in California at Camp Whittle. It is one of the largest YMCA camps, receiving between 300 and 500 children per week during the summer. For three years he was the ROPES course coordinator which included a Ropes Course in trees with 3 high ropes elements, 2 real Rock climbing spots, two ziplines, a climbing wall, and a variety of low ropes activities. During his fourth year, he was the Seasonal Program Director.

Additionally, he is a geologist with more than 10 years of experience conducting exploration field trips in search of natural resources. During his travels, he had the opportunity to visit different cities and remote places, helping him to create a sense of patience, simplicity, observation, and appreciation of nature and many different cultures.
